Refined French Limestone

History:
Quarried since Roman times,
this material has
been used throughout France from earliest times. Nowadays due to its
neutral tones it is a favourite for interior designers. Many famous
residences and buildings worldwide have been flattered by its subtle
tones. The Musée D’Orsay, Paris and the Metropolitan Museum of Art,
New York are just two of its more prestigious recipients.
Character:
The tile is kept reasonably consistent, colour varies from light
to sandy beige with some quartz veining. A close grained medium
density honed limestone with some surface pitting and the odd
fossil. Usage: Interior and some exterior usage. Notes: The classic understated limestone. Suited to all types of design schemes; period, traditional and contemporary. Due to its neutral tones it is especially popular when stone needs to be carried throughout a property. |
